Ghost hunters give their TOP 5 tips for becoming a ghost hunter!

Kev Lamb & Lisa Widdowson, from the online ghost hunting page, Urban Ghost Explorers UK have given their TOP 5 tips and advice on becoming a ghost-hunter/paranormal investigator. Here is what they said:

The 5 main things you should have when starting to investigate or do ghost hunts is:

1. A pen and notebook (for jotting down any history, timestamping any occurrences such as sounds, environmental changes i.e temperature)

2.  A dictaphone (could be a tape style or digital one. Both can pick up a wide range of frequencies. This is used for recording sounds that we might not hear within our own hearing range of frequencies, i.e for recording EVP (Electronic Voice Phenomena)

3. Your own senses (sight, sound and touch)

4.  A torch if you plan to be out in the dark (spirits may appear during daylight hours as well as night time)

5. A camera (a camera for taking pictures or recording. A low light camera i.e night vision or full spectrum is ideal as they can see outside of the normal spectrum of human sight)

Kev & Lisa also say, when starting out the best thing to do is research. Research on places such as ruins of castles, historic churches etc that have had stories of ghost sightings in the past. Make sure these places are accessible at any time of day to the public or ask permission. Be truthful to yourselves and record everything, there is no point in saying that you have seen something but don't have the evidence to back it up, i.e photographs, recordings, witness accounts. If you are wanting to build a team then the best thing you need is TRUST amongst yourselves. Trust that no one within the group would try to fake evidence to gain notoriety. Always be truthful to each other, after all we all just want to find true evidence of the afterlife.

Kev & Lisa are Facebook paranormal investigators, who have created a loyal fanbase over the years for their hard work, loyalty and breath-taking paranormal evidence. Their ethics and passion for all things paranormal shows  a role model title to all new starters entering the paranormal field.
